SlitherThink Walkthrough
When is the walkthrough coming along?
…Since this is a jam game and I am working on a larger version of this, there most probably won’t be a walkthrough seeing as this game is all about having open solutions
Hey, check the comment above ya
Already did.
Very interesting, especially loved the constraint discovery mechanic. While every single constraint might not be original and there are definitely other puzzles with them, the process of guessing and seeing your guesses being eventually correct is very satisfying
Thanks, I’m working on a larger version so follow and keep watch for my latest updates on this game
Nice work! I really liked this game :) I particularly enjoy the mixture of puzzles that can be solved by "going with the flow" and puzzles that require to think for a couple of seconds before jumping in.
Thanks, not much of the puzzles with the “going with the flow” solutions are actually intentional. It’s hard to make a good puzzle
It reminded me a little of the puzzles in the Witness. I think one of the more sophisticated things that game does is have rules with emerging complexity. That way as you head through a sequence of puzzles, the puzzle design can say 'so you probably thought that the rule was x, but now here's a puzzle that shows you it can't actually be that. How do you interpret the earlier solutions now?'
Fun! The dead-end rule felt a little inconsequential most of the time, but I can't think of any other good board-ending rules to replace it with. Some of the puzzles could be a little more tightly designed - the larger ones towards the end I felt like I was stumbling through with intuition rather than deducing a solution. I think there's good foundation here for introducing new mechanics and making a larger game.
Thanks! There’s been a tad bit more I want to do and I might even try to find a publisher! Look out for me in the future!
